1. Mediation. North West Mediation Solutions’ members are accredited by either CEDR or ADR Group and have extensive experience in every type of dispute that may occur, including insurance disputes, commercial contracts, construction and valuation, personal injury, employment and workplace, sports contracts and neighbour disputes, to name but a few.

Each of the parties in mediation is requested to complete an assessment form by which the performance of the mediator can be assessed and there is a client’s complaint procedure if required.

Matrimonial mediation is not an area covered by the members of North West Mediation Solutions but advice can be given as to appropriate mediators.

Telephone Mediation. North West Mediation Solutions recognises the fact that some claims are not suitable for “face to face” mediation, mainly because of the costs involved proportionate to the damages claimed. We will appoint a fully trained mediator from our panel to assist in facilitating a settlement of your case.

2. Training. The Members of North West Mediation Solutions promote and encourage the use of mediation in all types of disputes. The members speak at events and seminars and arrangements can be made through Peter Whitman to meet any interest you have in learning more about:

• Mediation-specific advocacy training to those involved in dispute resolution.
• Preparing for mediation.
• Mock mediations, enabling the audience to get an insight into the various stages of the mediation process - tactics will be highlighted at each stage and both good and bad practice will be demonstrated.
